Implementing alarms/triggers with a custom action Adapter?

Apr 16, 2012 at 8:08 PM

Hello, I would like to have openPDC archive to an aditional location when a measurement is outside a certain threshold and (secondarily) send out email notifications. Can this be achieved with a custom Action Adapter? Perhaps a custom Historian is needed? If anyone has any tips or can point me to some documentation or examples, it would be really helpful.

Thanks,

Dave

I think the short answer is yes, however, have you checked out the new alarming & notifications feature that has been added to version 1.5 release preview?

Thanks!

Yeah, I saw that after I posted. It looks really nice but I can't get the historian data services to work on it. It appears that the data services got revamped and the old urls (http://localhost:6151/historian/metadata/read/) are not available. I found what looks like a new data service at http://localhost:6151/?wsdl for IMeataDataService but can't get a working endpoint. Is there any documentation on how to implement this?
