Storing the historian data into remote machine

Aug 1, 2012 at 4:45 AM

HI,

Can we store the historian data on remote computer. Normally we are storing the historian data at path: c:\Program Files\openpdc\archive\.

Can it possible to store in remote computer local drive.

If it is possible, how I can do it.

Many thanks

Sure - just change the paths in the config file (i.e., openPDC.exe.config when settings categories are prefixed with historian acronym, e.g., PPA) to point to a remote drive, can be UNC specified...

Thanks!

HI,

I am trying to send the historian data to server machine and change the path in open.exe.config as

1) click on ppaStatFile category

2) File Name: 192.168.10.1:/usr/Data/ppa_startup.dat  (using Ubuntu OS on remote server)

3) save setting and then  Load setting

So where I am doing mistake as data are storing in remote server. When I am checking again config the file name value again reset to original location (c:\programe File\openpdc.....)

Can some one let me where I am doing mistake.

Many thanks
