Configuring open PDC for multiple inputs

Oct 16, 2009 at 6:20 PM

How to configure open PDC for multiple input devices. like one to c37118 and one to PDC stream.

We are developing a configuration wizard called the "openPDC Manager" (the current code is in the Synchrophasor project) that will be completed by early November that will make this simple. For now you can manually add as many devices as you like:

Hope that helps!

The openPDC.exe config file is not accepting multiple node Ids. Then how to activate multiple inputs.

Repeating from the configuration instructions from URL above:

The Node table

This table contains information about the openPDC instances using the database. You will most likely only need to enter one record into this table. If you have multiple instances of the openPDC using your openPDC database, you will need to add a record for each of them.

The Node table allows you to use one configuration database for multiple deployed openPDC instances, should that be desired.

You setup new inputs using the device table:

The Device table

This table contains information about the devices sending data to an instance of the openPDC. Devices can be PMUs or PDCs. PMUs that are connected through an intermediary PDC should also be present in this table.

The openPDC Manager has now been released and is operational. This makes the setup of multiple output streams simple:

Check it out when you get some time...

Thanks!
