How to calculate Power using openPDC?

Jun 17, 2013 at 9:10 AM
Can anyone please provide me with steps on how to calculate power dynamically in OpenPDC. I have an input stream of voltage and current phasors but I am unable to calculate power dynamically.

Use the PowerCalculation adapter

I tried that but all I get as output is NA. Maybe I am using the Adapter incorrectly. Can you please tell me from beginning on how to use the Power Calculation Adapter.

Have you looked at the guides (specifically Power Calculation) at: http://openpdc.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=Use%20and%20Configuration%20Guides

When you say you are getting NA for output, do you actually mean 'NaN'? Getting NaN (NoANumber) often means the data is being discarded - look at the adapter from the openPDC Console (list <adapter-name>) which will show if any data is being discarded. Some of your data may be 'late'; modifying LagTimes sometimes helps.
